Stepping into the center is in itself a calming experience. The atmosphere is a respite form the bustle of Braddock Ave. I leave with a peaceful outlook and a healthier body.

Avoid Gaining Holiday Weight By Being Mindful!

Many of us get caught up in alot of holiday stress which causes us to be unconscious about what we are putting in our bodies around this time of year.To avoid gaining holiday weight try being more mindful about what it is that you are putting into your body. I don't just mean by cooking with pure ingredients. I mean take time to look at and taste what you are eating instead of eating without realizing what you are eating. One way to help with this is to take time to chew your food slowly. A good standard is to make sure you chew at least 10 times before you swallow. This will not only help your digestion, but you will also be eating slower giving your body more time to send a signal to your brain that you are full. You may be surprised by how little you need to eat to get full.
Another good guideline to follow is that your stomach is about the size of the palm of your hand. Remember this when you are filling your 12 inch plate with seconds:)!

What a good article. In my business, I am working many hours in front of my PC screen, and I feel back pain frequently. I found several ways to fight back pain and therefore, I created my own blog to offer a source for information and tips and hints of how to relief back pain. This is a great blog, and I’m sure people will get good advice from it. Thank you!
