THANKS DAD!

Frame every so-called disaster with these words, “Will this matter in five years?”

I am going to try this. I challenge you to do the same.

I recently involved my father in a so-called disaster by damaging his vehicle when I was leaving work. First of all, he trusted me to take his jeep while my car was being taken care of in a shop. I was backing out of a small car lot when I heard the horrible sound of a bolt on a telephone pole scraping the side of his jeep. I was so paranoid about another car in the lot, that I did not even take notice of the pole.

Easy ways to naturally freshen up your home…

I walked into a friend’s home the other day and it smelled so wonderful! Not only did it smell so good, I felt an immediate cozy kind of feel settle right in. As I found my way into the kitchen by following the fragrant scent, I realized that this was not a perfumed candle that she bought from a store or a plug in air freshener either, but a simple pot of water with some cinnamon sticks and orange peel simmering away.

How Relaxed is Your Body While Asleep?

It makes sense that your body would be very relaxed when sleeping and falling asleep. But I've recently been made aware of the tiny contractions that muscles make when we don't even realize it, and just a small amount of muscle holding can cause tension within an entire muscle group. A few nights ago I was falling asleep, finally warm under the covers. I wasn't stressing about anything, was looking forward to the next day, breathing evenly, when one of my cats started kneading my back. My back released and I then noticed that my shoulders loosened...they had been hitched up to my ears!
