The Slow Movement

I recently came across this movement, started in Italy, which is spreading around the world. The Slow Movement is creating an identity and a standard for slowing our lives down. In this fast-paced, technological world, it is often thought that faster and more efficient is better. As a world people, we are starting to realize that slower has many, if not more benefits.

It's that time again, book bags, football games, tests and STRESS for many from small through college.  I must say that over the years, touching hundreds of bodies, the damage we put on our backs through this time of our lives is compared only to having a small child.  It is hard to remember when you are not involved in the situation the stress that this time puts on your body physically, emotionally, and mentally.    It is important to remember that what seems to be a small problem in school will develop into a much larger problem later in life if nothing is done about it now.

If you have ever checked the ingredients or warnings on your bug repellent it is not so appealing. It may sometimes be painstaking to make the choice between covering your body (and your loved one's) with chemicals or getting bites!

As mosquito season approaches, you will be happy to know there is a safer alternative: essential oils. Essential oils have a wide variety of uses and benefits. The following is a simple recipe to make your own bug repellent:

10 drops Geranium
