You are already complete!

     As my conversations wander from friends, colleagues, and clients, it seems that a lot of people I know are going through some big transitions right now. I know I sure am. I am taking a year long intensive yoga teacher training, packing for a big move this summer, going through an audit, and expecting a baby in the fall. All of this on top of life's regular chores and curve balls. Most of these things are positive transitions so when I feel stressed, I will stop and breathe and change that word "stressed" to "overwhelmed".

They provide a service that helps you track your progress in areas of health including diet, exercise, sleep, energy level, blood pressure, weight, medications, and many more. You are provided with a calendar to enter the data of your choice. Over time, you can look back and compare the data you have entered to see if any patterns emerge that can help you better understand what works and doesn't work for you. You can create graphs that will compare any two pieces of data you have entered.

An Ancient Look at the Importance of Breath

As some of you may know, I am studying throughout this year to become a yoga teacher. Already I have come across some great resources. Among my required studies of movement, pedagogy and anatomy, is the study of yogic philosophy. I would like to share with you a story from the Brhad-Aranyaka Upanishad, one of India’s oldest sacred texts from the time of Vedanta. I am always going on about the breath and how important it is.
