Lavender Essential Oil to Soothe Sunburn

We are almost through with summer now, and perhaps this blog could have come a bit sooner, but we still have many more days of potential sunburn ahead! Recently, my husband and I took a vacation to the shore. The sun was gorgeous and appreciated, but also very powerful. We both got some sunburn despite our efforts to use sunscreen. Naturally Repel Fleas From Your Loved Pets

Most of us folks with pets know that right now is high flea season. Along my quest to banish all of the superfluous and perhaps toxic chemicals from my house, I revived an old-fashioned practice: using hydrogen peroxide as part of my dental routine. Thinking with Your Heart, The Heart-Brain Connection on the Frontier of Mind Body Medicine

Recently, because of  the enthusiastic review of my fellow massage therapist friend, I read the book "The Instinct to Heal" by David Servan-Schreiber. He was the chief of Psychiatry at UPMC Shadyside, and has written a couple of books. This one blew my mind!
It covers a lot of interesting material on the workings of the body-brain (because it is really is completely integrated).
One chapter, in particular, was very moving to me. It was the chapter on the Heart-Brain System.
