Stress Reduction Through Mindfulness

Feeling overwhelmed? Not enough time in the day? No time for yourself?  Feel as if you're not really participating in your own life?  You're not alone. The World Health Organization considers stress an epidemic.

Join us on Saturday, June 11th at the Center for Complementary Health and Healing as we learn to bring the practice of mindfulness into our daily lives.

Cindy and Diane will present mindfulness based stress reduction working with practices that have been shown to elicit the Relaxation Response, the state physiologically opposite of the stress response. Some of these practices include mindfulness meditations, breath work, progressive muscle relaxation, mindful movement and creative visualization. We will also take a look at the thoughts and beliefs that keep us stuck in the cycle of stress.
