Lili Gill

Certified Massage Therapist

Lili Gill
Lili Gill is a therapist with distinctive skills. As a massage practitioner she has learned to connect with people and to listen with compassion. As a classical pianist she has developed strong hands that are very sensitive to detail. As an avid gardener she emanates a calm and grounded personality. All of these gifts come together to help create a supportive space of healing for her clients.

Lili dedicates time at the beginning of each session to evaluate her client’s needs. After carefully listening to the client, she uses a variety of techniques (see below) to customize each massage. In addition, Lili provides an evaluative follow-up with suggestions for self-care at the end of each treatment.

Lili studied at the Cumberland Institute for Wellness Education in Nashville, Tennessee. At Cumberland, she received training in Swedish Massage, Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Cayce-Reilly Massage, Reiki and Acupressure techniques. In the five years since her schooling, Lili has successfully developed two full-time massage practices.

Two years ago, she learned the art of the Hot Stone Massage through Sacred Stone Therapy. This therapy combines warm stones with Ayurvedic techniques of healing to give a profound sense of deep relaxation and "groundedness". Furthermore, Lili has broadened her knowledge of working with pregnant women through Elain Stillerman’s Mother Massage program, which allows Lili to offer women support throughout this transitional time in their lives. In starting her new practice in Pittsburgh, one of Lili’s aspirations is to continue to develop her work with expectant mothers.

When not washing massage sheets, Lili devotes time to her other loves in life: the piano, gardening, cooking, her husband, Michael and step-children, Kayla, Sean, Caitlin, and Ayashe. She holds a Master’s degree in music and enjoys teaching piano and accompanying singers and instrumentalists. She is also fluent in French and Serbo-Croatian.
