Call us

Today I called the local grocery store to see what the best fruit in season is right now.  "Strawberries are the best, " our local produce man explained.  Well, at least form California and Florida.  Yum.  Strawberries are delicious!  I like to buy at least two containers at a time and half them, put them in a bowl and leave them sit for a while in the refrigerator.  In time, they are perfectly dripping with juice.  If you want, you can even sprinkle the tiniest bit of sugar on top...and that will really bring thier juices out.

Here are a few cool  facts about strawberries:

*Eating only eight strawberries per day will lead you to a healthier heart and strenghten your memory.

* If anyone cares to know, these eight strawberreis only contain 45 calories.  Pretty nice:)

*One serving provides you with three grams of fiber out of a recommended 20-30 grams per day.

Dietary fiber is known to lower blood cholesterol, decrease the risk of heart disease, and promote a healthy digestive system.

So now I will supply you with a nice strawberry salad recipe.
