After much deliberation about what to write about; I have decided to give an insider’s view of what sets The Pittsburgh Center for Complementary Health and Healing apart from the rest of massage/ spa businesses in the area.
The first thing our clients remark on is the ambiance upon entering. We offer a casual at-home feel with a big comfy couch, quiet background music, serene water fountain, and warm neck raps when you are waiting. The next compliment comes when we lead a client into the massage room. The rooms are all outfitted with cozy chairs, an end table, a lamp, and live plants. In addition, all rooms are playing their own massage music separate from that of the lobby.
Every client new or returning gets a pre-massage interview. Here we take just a few minutes to inquire about the needs and goals of the client for his/ her customized massage. This helps us (the therapists) to facilitate a more healing experience. After the interview we leave the client to get on the table where they find it heated with warm water beneath the fleece cushion. This seems to be a beloved part of the experience; I have never had a new client fail to comment with surprise enthusiasm.
The massage experience alone you will find second to none. Each one of us here specializes in one modality or another. You can visit our website, read our profiles, and decide from that whom you’d find most fitting to your needs. Furthermore the sessions are booked with 30 minutes in between, giving both the clients and the therapists a more relaxed setting and guaranteeing a complete and timely session
For all of the above reasons we are often voted “Best” in various readers’ poles here in the ‘Burgh. Working here at the Pittsburgh Center for Complementary Health and Healing has given me the opportunity and support I’ve needed to learn, grow, and develop into the type of therapist I am. Thanks to all of you that have put your selves at my fingertips; you are all a part of my development.
Sincerely,
CR Wright
