If you need a new warm drink for winter, try this Tumeric Milk recipe. I recently came across this recipe, and my husband and I both agree that it is D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! In my opinion, it has the same comforting feel as hot chocolate, but with way more health benefits! 

Recipe:

In a pot on your stove combine:

  • 2 cups vanilla almond milk (If you have an original flavor that is fine, just add some vanilla extract.)
  • 1 Tbsp Honey (or less if you don't want it as sweet.)
  • 1 Tbsp Coconut Oil (optional: but this is what will give it the yummy froth, and extra anti-inflammatory properties)
  • 1 tsp ground Tumeric
  • 1 tsp ground Cinnamon
  • and a small pinch of ginger.
  • Bring to a simmer.
  • For it ito get that yummy froth that I mentioned I add mine to my Vitamix and blend it up to give it that extra something special.
  • Lastly I topped it with a little extra cinnamon to make it pretty.
