Amanda has such a sincere dedication to helping others. You can feel it as soon as you are together.

N.R.

My name is Amanda (She/They),  and I'm stoked to be on this Earth with you! I'm 38 years old and I was born and raised in the heart of Amish country Ohio.  Ive lived in Pittsburgh for 3 years now.  I currently reside in Penn Hills with my Fiance Lauren and our fur babies. We have one dog and two cats and we all love it here! I believe that I'm on this planet to be a healer. My mission while I'm here is to selflessly help fellow mankind to heal. My promise is to always listen, feel and spread love, light and positivity to everyone I can. I hope to contribute my energy through massage into making the Earth a more connected, understanding and healed place to live with each other.

Ever since I was about 10 years old my family and later my friends noticed I had a knack for "getting the knots out" of their backs and gave such soothing hugs. I then became the "Best Hugger" amongst my piers and the family "masseuse" at every family gathering. I fell in love with helping all them feel better. I knew at that young age  that I wanted to help people in that way. I went to school for Nursing but ultimately realized my soul wasn't in it.

Struggling to find myself I turned to alcohol and this is where my life changed. I ended up wreaking my SUV and broke my neck. I had a near death experience where I was asked what I wanted. I replied "I want to be here!"  I woke up and never looked back. I knew a dependent lifestyle wasn't for me. I would now take a holistic approach to the way I wanted to get through life.

I remembered my childhood and how my family recognized the gifts I had before I did. After my N.D.E. I knew that massage therapy was the holistic direction I was going. I went to The Ohio College of Massotherapy and graduated in 2011. I finally found my true calling. I have also been in the service industry for over 20 years helping me learn a lot about how people tick. I feel this is important for my massage career helping me to remain open to all sorts of humans with all sorts of different issues. While my main goal is healing through relaxation massage I understand that there are many factors why we seek any type of therapy. It's important for me to identify with my clients and make them feel comfortable and safe. Sometimes just a simple "I understand where your coming from" with sincerity, can be the door to open the healing journey between us.

I've been perfecting my massage techniques for about 15 years going to peoples homes and businesses. Although I haven't practiced in a spa setting in while I'm honored to start here at PCCHH! I'm thankful for the opportunities and growth I foresee me gaining here. I'm looking to plant some roots here in the community and I feel this is a wonderful place to start. During my massage I use the technical skills I learned in school, my intuition and natural abilities to give each person an individually unique massage. If you just need to relax the day away or  something more in depth for your body to feel balanced,  I'm here. I'm here to listen, care and do my best to help.

In my spare time I love to write and sing music, practice martial arts, hike, paint, and just spend time with my little family. I'm an avid camper and I love kayaking any chance I get. I'm huge fan of true crime and horror movies. I'm a jokester who likes to make things light and fun anytime I'm around. I've learned so far in life that were not supposed to take it so serious. We should enjoy each moment and live in the present and thats exactly how I intend to live my life.  "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift-that is why it is called the present."
Thank you for taking the time to read about me! I hope to be a fit for you and your healing journey. Stay safe and strong.
Namaste,
Amanda Wirt LMT
