Bri gives a massage that is soothing with her focused and mindful presence.”
Bri found herself on a journey to become a Massage Therapist following an accident that left her with two bulging discs in her neck that were hindering her everyday life. In a pursuit for her own health and wellness she began seeing a Massage Therapist to find relief and realized that she had found a passion, and wanted to share the relief that she found through hands on touch with others. She not only enjoyed providing the physical relief of bodywork, but she also realized that she had an ability as a Massage Therapist to be a safe space for people, a helper, and a healer.
Bri graduated from the Advanced Fuller School of Massage Therapy, and she has been working in the industry and improving her personal style of bodywork ever since. In general, her style has roots in Swedish massage, but she pulls from a variety of modalities (including myofascial release, cranial sacral, and deep tissue) on a case-by-case basis in order to ensure the massage is tailored to the client’s specific needs. Bri also enjoys prenatal massage, hot stones and cupping. Bri is passionate about calming the stress response and it’s affects the body which is why the foundation of her work has a strong base in Swedish massage. She has found that the soothing, gliding motions in Swedish massage helps the body get out of the stress response, but uses a balance of these techniques with modified pressure and more focused work in order to obtain optimal results for her clients.
Bri is a lifelong learner who is consistently seeking new opportunities to improve her skills and knowledge as a Massage Therapist. She enjoys traveling and completing as many continuing education classes as she can fit into her busy schedule. Most recently she went to a sound healing seminar, specifically working with crystal singing bowls. Bri strongly aligns with the mission Nikki has set for the Pittsburgh Center for Complementary Health and Healing and is excited to continue her career as a part of the PCCHH team.
